West Regional Rep
JP began his career with Vespoli in the July 2008 as our man in the Midwest, after two years with Marietta College (Ohio) as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. While at Marietta he earned a Master’s Degree in Education, writing his thesis on the psychological and physiological impact of single dimensional sport choice on high school athletes. JP began rowing at St. Ignatius Prep in San Francisco, went on to row at the University of California, Berkeley, and returned to coach at St. Ignatius. In addition, he has coached masters rowing at Bair Island Aquatic Center in Redwood City, CA and juniors at the Three Rivers Rowing Association in Pittsburgh, PA. JP also has the unique perspective of having coached and competed in masters swimming.
Originally from the West Coast, he has the experience, expertise, and enthusiasm to assist all the various types of programs from Arizona to Washington with their unique needs. JP is excited to back on the West Coast, where he now lives in Redwood City. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, trail running, swimming, and yoga. He also likes spinach on his pizza – it doesn't get any more "West Cost" than that!
